Dear class,

I was reading this article on organ donation and thought I should bring this to your attention.

Did you know that if you are a non-Muslim, you are automatically required to donate your organs when you die, if you choose not to opt out of an organ donation programme?

There was a recent hot discussion in the papers about this. It all started with this man who did not opt out of a organ donation programme (HOTA) and the doctors had to take out his organs for transplant when he was declared brain dead, despite his family members' violent objections.

Yet, there are advantages to the organ donation programme.
There are also people who felt very strong about programme.

What are your views on this? Do you feel right to do so and why do you feel this way?
